Holocaust Education
The Holocaust Education series, inspired by Rosie & Irving Guttman, encompasses both survivor and second-generation descendant programming for years. The series presents conversations through an educational programming format featuring survivors, liberators and other personal narratives from World War II and the Holocaust. Each seminar includes an oral history and occasionally offers a Q&A and panel discussion.
Additionally, each program is archived within our digital library and housed on the Arizona Department of Education’s Holocaust and Genocide toolkit recommended resources for Arizona teachers. These programs are free to students and educators.
Surviving Humanity — Reframing America
a live seminar series that features survivors of terrorism, acts against humanity, genocide, and hate/aggression, in general. The seminar series provides an oral history (living memory of the event – testimony), Q&A and panel discussion. The series draws upon similarities and comparisons of the Holocaust and has featured survivors of genocide in Cambodia, Bosnia, Syria, and Rwanda.
Our Parents' Stories
AZJHS is honored to present workshops and conversations led by children of the Holocaust Survivors, Liberators, World War II Veterans, and many influential individuals with experience and knowledge of the Holocaust.
