We Share the Same Sky tells the intertwined narratives of Holocaust survivor Hana Dubová and her granddaughter, Rachael Cerrotti. After Hana’s death, Rachael relies on her grandmother’s photographs, letters, and journals, sets out to retrace her journey across Europe, including the rescue operation in Denmark that saved her life. Through this personal and historical exploration, Rachael discovers how the kindness of strangers, memory, and storytelling connect generations and transform grief into resilience.

Rachael Cerrotti is an award-winning author, podcaster, educator, and curator working with family history, inherited memory and personal archives. She collaborates with organizations, schools, and individuals on storytelling projects and community programming. Her flagship work, We Share The Same Sky, is a more than decade-long project following her grandmother’s wartime history. She now hosts the Along the Seam podcast.
