Join us for a powerful session with educator and Holocaust survivor, Sami Steigmann. Born in 1939 in Czernowitz, Bukovina (present-day Ukraine), Sami and his parents were held at Mogilev-Podolskiy, a labor camp in Transnistria, from 1941–1944. After liberation, he grew up in Romania and later moved to Israel, where Sami served in the Israeli Air Force. He eventually settled in New York City and became a motivational speaker. For years, Sami has been inspiring young people to be strong in character, embrace forgiveness and choose to be upstanders rather than bystanders.
