Rachel Basch Turet reflects on growing up in Canada and the United States as the daughter of two Holocaust survivors. She remembers the pain of discrimination by teachers and neighbors and the hopeful new start when her family moved to Brooklyn.

Rachel shares the wisdom and legacy of her mother, Esther Basch, who spoke publicly about surviving Auschwitz, forced labor camps and death marches. Through it all, her mother maintained a love of all people, forgiveness, and faith. Rachel says, “I truly hope to carry the baton that my sweet Mom passed to me!” Please join us as she shares her mother’s powerful testimony.
